Jian Zhao received the B.S. degree from Nanjing University, Nanjing, China, the M.Sc. degree from Hamburg University of Technology, Hamburg, Germany, and the Dr. Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland. From 2010 to 2015, he was with the Institute for Infocomm Research, A*STAR, Singapore. Currently, he is an Associate Professor with the School of Electronic Science and Engineering in Nanjing University. His research interests include deep neural networks, mathematical optimization, and wireless communications. Dr. Zhao was honored with the Dengfeng Scholars Program of Nanjing University in 2015, IEEE Globecom 2008 Best Paper Award, and the 2009 Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad.
